MAC has really done it with this shade! I am BEYOND in love. This is the first lipstick I have ever fallen so hard for that I had to back it up. It is everything I have been looking for in a fuchsia/pink lipstick down to the satin finish. This is, in my opinion, the best LE lipstick that MAC has put out in a long time.

Pink Pigeon. FINALLY.

I have regretted not getting Pink Pigeon since it launched with the Iris Apfel collection last year. I missed every restock after the disastrous Strength launch, but FINALLY got lucky this week. So glad to finally have this in my collection. It is so bold & pretty. These pics really don’t even show the brightness of the shade.

Makeup Storage Update!

I have had the Ikea MALM vanity for about a year & a half. You can find the info & pictures of my original setup here. I love it dearly, but I needed additional storage due to the size of my makeup collection. I added a set of sterilte drawers & a few accessories from the office storage area of Target shortly after getting the vanity. The drawers worked ok, but the longer I used them, the less sturdy the unit became. After looking at more vanity setups I came across the beauty that is the ALEX 9 drawer unit. I swear I heard angels the first time I saw it being used as makeup storage. It was exactly what I was looking for, as the white lacquer finish & sleek squared drawers matched the MALM vanity perfectly. The hubs made a trek to IKEA Thursday night and picked one up for me. It took around 2 hours to assemble & then I spent another hour on top of that reorganizing my stash. I am SO happy with the finished product.

MAC Making Pretty Couture Collection

The MAC Making Pretty Couture Collection for Holiday 2012 released online on Monday. I have been waiting for this collection to launch ever since I read about the release a few months ago. 3N has been on my MAC wishlist forever. I was so bummed when it didn’t make the cut for the By Request collection, so when I found out it would be part of this release I didn’t even care about the steep $28 pricetag for one MAC lipstick.
